February 22, 2021 – Ithaca, NY / Boston, MA – Iterate Labs, an Industry 4.0 platform that maximizes workforce productivity, operations, and safety through AI, digitized human motion, and sensor inputs, announces that they have hired Doug Rapp, a former corporate leader in industrial safety, operations, and ergonomics for decades. Doug brings more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing, food, and meat industries, driving safety initiatives, operations, and ensuring overall success for team members.
Iterate Labs recently closed a venture round led by Monozukuri Ventures and joined by Tyson Ventures. The proceeds will help to support Doug Rapp, as well as other senior technology team hires for scaling the platform further.
Doug worked his way up in his career, starting decades ago as Tyson Foods line worker, moving to line supervisor, Complex Safety Manager, Corporate Safety Manager, to eventually the Corporate Ergonomics Manager at Tyson Foods with multiple certifications in Ergonomics. Doug has always used his expertise, kindness, and collaborative spirit to build a workplace that empowers employees and managers to work together for the greater good.
“I’m incredibly excited to join such a talented team with amazing technology to help change the manufacturing and food industry forever. I’ve witnessed the problems (operator efficiency, injuries, turnover) they are addressing first hand for decades. I’m excited to help them solve these issues once and for all” says Doug Rapp. “I remember first meeting this team when the idea was just a concept while I was at Tyson, and knew at that moment it would revolutionize the industry. I should have realized then that I would eventually be joining the team!”
Iterate Labs’ mission is to harmonize the interaction between the worker and their environment, making the worker more effective, safer, and happier along the way. Their connected worker platform aligns each division within an industrial facility around the most important resource for these facilities, their workforce. “Having such an experienced team-member like Doug join us means we will be able to have an even bigger impact on our customer’s bottomline. Doug’s wealth of knowledge is decades long, which means he has seen everything our industrial customers deal with, and has worked the line himself as well” said Jason Guss, CEO and Co-founder of Iterate Labs.
